Faces of Loss, Faces of Hope is a new website that is only a few months old, but quickly gaining attention. This is an excerpt from the Founder, Kristin Cook:

There are hundreds of women bravely and openly sharing their stories of miscarriage, stillbirth, and infant loss on personal blogs, all over the world, and others who are looking for a way to share their stories with others. Faces of Loss, Faces of Hope is a place for us to come together and share our stories and our faces with others who may be looking for reassurance that they are not alone. My hope is that Faces of Loss, Faces of Hope becomes a place for new members of this "babyloss club" to come and read hundreds of other stories, and see hundreds of other faces like theirs, all in one place.

It is also my hope that Faces of Loss, Faces of Hope brings awareness to the issue of pregnancy/infant loss. I hope that by telling the world we are not afraid to show our faces and tell our stories, barriers will be broken down. Taboos will be broken, and lines of communication will be opened.

In reading many of the stories of loss and the uplifting stories of hope, I knew I had to participate. Although I've written pieces of my story several times over the last eight years, I haven't shared it in much detail with the world. I procrastinated on writing the stories and honestly, it was an emotionally tough few days going down that dark road of grief again. But I am excited to share my story of loss and story of hope with you now. Reader Discretion is advised, please do not read the stories if you think it would be too upsetting. You can read these stories here:

My Story of Loss

If I won the custom pendant I would be using Carleigh's prints!

Holly said...

If I won a gift certificate I would use it to buy things to give away to other moms or to get something for my daughters

Holly said...

My fav product is the hand/footprint jewelry. You can't beat being able to have your child's hand or foot print to wear.

Holly said...

As far as a product suggestion, I think it would be neat to see some vintage looking items. I love the antique/vintage look and I love wearing jewelry with that appeal.

if I won the custom pendant I would get my twins Eli and Jetts prints.

if I won a gift certificate I would put it towards getting a pendant to put my boys ashes in

my favourite product would have to be either the urn jewelery or the footprint pendants.

I would love to win this giveaway- I have always admired and suggested the my forever child collection- but I am not lucky enough to have any piece of beautiful jewelry from ya'll. If I won I would use Jaydens foot prints from that last few moments in the hospital. I miss him so badly, and a necklace engraved with his prints would be such a beautiful reminder than he is always with me.

Trena said...

If I won the footprint heart pendant, well, I'm not sure how I would do that...maybe Bryston's right foot and Colton's left foot? OR, I may just give it as a goft to a friend of mine that lost her baby boy...I know she would love it!

Trena said...

If I won the gift certificate I would use it to buy my husband either a key chain or maybe a dog tag necklace. He doesn't have anything and I know he would love something to honor the boys. ♥

Trena said...

product suggestion? Maybe just more things for men. I think it's nice to have them included! ♥

Trena said...

My favorite product is, well, the bracelet I have because it just amazing! But if I had to choose something else, I love the "Love Knot" ring, it is simply beautiful. ♥

Trena said...

How has MFC touched my life? After the boys passed away, I was desperate to find SOMETHING...and I just couldn't find that special piece of jewelry that I could wear everyday and that was beautiful. Some friends sent my bracelet from MFC and I cried when I opened the package. I even looked at my husband and said, "This is it!" I LOVE my bracelet. People always ask about it when I wear it and it gives me the chance to talk about my boys...and I love that!

Trena said...

I sent out page suggestions on FB. ♥

If I won the g/c, I would put it towards a custom footprint pendant for my daughter!

I think my most favorite product all though they are all amazing is the hand/footpring art. I know for me it would mean the world to be able to carry a piece of my child gone to soon and Im sure it would be the same way for any BLM.

Kristi said...

WOW what an awesome giveaway! Any of it would be great!!!

Cricky said...

If I won the custom pendant, I would love to have my son Nicholas' footprints on it. The hospital didn't make the footprint though because he was a preemie and I never got around to it while he was here because I didn't realize he'd leave before I got a chance to do it.

If I won, I would use the gift certificate to buy the Tear to Treasure Necklace.

Product suggestion - How about items marketed towards siblings of the baby/child who has passed? I do realize that many of your items could be used in this way already, but I'm sure it would be appealing to have a specific category on your website for ease :) I'm picturing necklace pendants with quotes about sisters/brothers and the bond that they share forever.

How MFC has touched my life:
I searched the internet high and low for a piece of jewelry that I could buy that would remind me of my daughter. I was so thankful when I came across your store. The quality of your engraving is above and beyond anything else I saw online. The necklaces that you made for us are awesome, and I love to wear it and proudly display my daughter's footprints. As you know, it is very painful for those around you to gradually stop talking about your baby who has passed away... But I know that my necklace has caught the eye of many people and has hopefully made them pause to think of her and remember...

December ~ Suppose to bring joy and happiness as families gather together, in my house it brings sadness. Remembrance of a time when we were all together as a family. I will remember my Heather Mae on December 10th the day she went to Heaven at the age of 11. I would LOVE one of your treasure as I remember mine :)

I wanted to come back to write about how My Forever Child has impacted me. I don't think it is any secret that I love My Forever Child and everything that it offers. But more than that, I love the person behind it because you, Sue, are what makes My Forever Child so special. Anybody can make jewelry but not everyone puts the love and care into each piece that you do. My Forever Child and you have allowed me to wear a piece of my heart on the outside for the world to see. And that means so much to me. I want the world to know about my baby! Through Carleigh I have met you and for that I am very thankful.

Finding My Forever Child has been such a wonderful experience for me. I have finally been able to come out with and open up about my miscarriage with people who understand, which has helped me to talk to others who may not. I think this site is not only amazing, but the fact that you are constantly GIVING AWAY your products is amazing- and so incredibly supportive! thank you!

My Forever Child has been such a wonderful blessing to my family after our son died. It was one of the first web sites I came across when I was searching for things to help keep Michaels memory alive. I was able to recommend you to my close friends and family. They all said they found a lot of helpful resources for support after our loss. THANK YOU!

Leanne said...

Face Book post about the giveaway! I also have an idea about a new product. Have you guys thought about using different kinds of metals like copper for the hand stamped charms? Maybe different shapes like birds, hearts, ect.?

Unknown said...

If I won, I would buy something in rememberance for our little one, Riley Jo. We miss her and wish she would have made it. That was a horrible experience for myself and my hubby, and I hate sharing it with people. I choose to keep it bottled up inside because not many people understand.

Unknown said...

If I won the custom footprints, I would use my angel Aiden's footprints. We were blessed with him before trying twice more, and cherish every day that he's strong and healthy.

Unknown said...

My favorite is the mom and baby locket.

Unknown said...

I actually do have a product suggestion. I've been looking around for a men's necklace, something manly but not big. I would love to see a man's necklace, like a circle with footprints and the baby's name, or dogtags, etc.

Leanne said...

If I were to win a gift certificate, I would try to find a small gift for both of Michaels grandmothers!

If I won a gift certificate I would use it to purchase a necklace of footprints for myself (in memory of Cullen) and one for my dearest friend Tess (in memory of her daughter Elizabeth). We lost our babies within 2 weeks of each other and are walking this journey 'after' together. I am more grateful for her friendship than words can describe, and I could not do something like this for myself if I did not also include her.
Thank you so much for hosting such a precious giveaway...

This entry is in memory of Cullen

If I won the custom pendant, I would be getting my baby Kye's prints who was lost at 20 weeks in 2008. We still think of him everyday as well as our second loss Baby peanut in 2009. We have since been blessed with our rainbow baby Cassy born 6 weeks ago:)

I have one of your necklaces -- the one with angel wings covering a heart. I had "Two angels together forever" engraved on the front with my baby's names and dates engraved on the back. Sooo beautiful!

If I won the gift certificate I would probably get my daughter a necklace to match mine to help her remember her lost siblings. She talks of them all the time -- our little angel babies.

My Forever Child has helped me to realize that it's okay to remember our lost babies. I wear one of their necklaces with pride and joy at having a token to remember them by. Baby loss is such a taboo subject and having something physical to touch and remember them by in my heart has helped more than you know. Thank you for all that you do:)

Some product suggestions would be to have something that said "I can do hard things" with my babies name on it cause I have been looking for something like that and can't find it anywhere. All of us moms that have lost a baby can do hard things now that they have gone through what I have.
