New Exclusive Designs

I am proud to announce the release of three brand new bracelet designs made exclusively for the Remembering Our Babies Memorial Keepsake Boutique.

The designs are specifically in remembrance of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness. They are created with Swarovski crystal based pearls in cream, light pink and light blue, the awareness colors. The top two bracelets feature clear lampwork glass beads with pink and blue glass ribbons on each side.

I also created four new charms that can be attached onto any existing bracelet, or one of these new bracelets. Choose from Mother of an Angel, Mother of Angels, Grandma of an Angel, Grandma of Angels. The back of the charms are blank so that they can engraved by your local jeweler.

These new designs are only available at the Remembering Our Babies online store.

Find the Missing Links Contest

When you are newly bereaved, you enter a strange new world that you didn't know existed and that you don't want to be a part of. Overwhelmed by grief and emotions, it is common to feel completely alone and not know where to turn for help.

Realizing that most of my website visitors are just days and weeks from their loss, I wanted to compile a comprehensive listing of resources as a springboard for my visitors to find the help and support they so desperately need.

While I have a lot of links already listed, I know there are a tremendous amount of others still out there. I need your help to "Find the Missing Links". Please visit the following pages and let me know of any websites that I still need to add:

I am also in need of links for:
  • Infertility Resources
  • Military Bereavement Support
  • Specific Medical Causes and Advocacy Groups

Please copy and paste the following information into an email to resources @ myforeverchild.com (remove the spaces)
Website Name:
URL:
Brief Description:
Any Additional Comment:

Each individual Link to us will be counted as 1 entry. Please include all the links in 1 email, not separate emails. If you need to send more that 1 email, please make note that you already sent an email-this will be counted towards our Second Place Prize- see below. Be sure to include your name and email address. All links submitted will be entered into a drawing. The contest ends on February 29th. The winner will be contacted via email and announced in our Blog and in the March Newsletter.

The Grand Prize is a choice of either a Custom Photo Pendant or Custom Handprint-Footprint Pendant. Each includes 3 lines of personalization on the back.
The Second Place Prize is for the individual who submits the most links. Please note that we only want the links we don't already have listed, hence, the "Missing Links". If you submit a link that we already have, it won't be counted as an entry.

So cull through your saved favorites on your computer, ask your friends which websites and discussion groups helped them, and send in as many resources as you can by February 29th. Good Luck!!

A Great Valentine's Day Gift!

Miscarriage Survey

Hi everyone,

I am writing to ask for your help. First off, let me say that I havee xperienced infertility for several years. As a result I also experienced several devastating losses. Throughout the course of this I have realized how much it hurts when people don't know what to say or say something they think is helpful and it really isn't (just relax, you can try again, etc!).

Because of all my experiences I have decided to conduct research that will help to educate and inform practitioners, family members, and friends ofthose who have had a miscarriage. I am currently conducting an online study that asks you how you talked with others after a miscarriage. In addition to filling out scales, there is a spot to write out the story of YOUR miscarriage. I know experiences vary and I really want to look at individuals stories of what they went through.I am a PhD student and hope to get the message out there that miscarriage and issues of fertility are difficult and individuals who experience these issues need support.

I have conducted another study that looked at the hurtful/helpful messages women have received and am currently developing training procedures for practitioners and family member to help educate them on how to provide support after someone they know has had a miscarriage.

If you or anyone you know would be willing to participate I would greatly appreciate it. Again, I am doing this so that others who have reproductive issues will hopefully be able to find support and comfort. I will be more than happy to share the results with anyone. Here is the link to the study: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=O6sKrZcQmKi4iG7kdwxjgw_3d_3d

You are eligible to complete this if you are a woman who has experienced amiscarriage in the last 5 years, are over 19 years of age and were married at time of miscarriage. You do not currently have to be in a romantic relationship. Thanks in advance for your help. Please feel free to contact me with anyquestions or concerns. I am more than happy to pass along my results. It is my greatest hope that we can work to find ways for people to talk about this with those they love the most and to give those individuals the toolsto offer support.

Best-Cassandra
